HOME MADE PIZZA RECIPE

 

I can never have enough pizza in my life! Who doesn't love mouth-watering, flavorful, cheesy pizza? This dream food is always present in any events like birthdays, Christmas, New year, and even in simple celebration in your office, school or at home. Something people can't live without. Let me share with you my go-to-pizza recipe. This is perfect for busy nights or if you have unexpected guests visiting, they will surely love this. You don't need to call the delivery boy. And remember, nothing beats home cooked food! Fresh and made with love. You can add whatever ingredients you like for the toppings. Here's an easy recipe you can follow.

 

For the DOUGH Ingredients:

(If you have a ready-made dough you can use it, if not, below is the ingredients on how to make dough)

* 1 pack of active dry yeast

* 3 3/4 cups flour

* 1 1/2 cups warm water

* 1 teaspoon sugar

* 2 teaspoons salt

* Tbsp olive oil

 

Pizza Ingredients:

 

Grated Mozzarella Cheese

Cubed Mozzarella Cheese

Parmesan Cheese

Sliced Pepperoni

Olive oil

Sliced onion

Chopped basil

Sliced ham

Bell peppers(sliced)

Mushrooms (sliced)

Tomato Sauce (Or if you have a ready-made Pizza sauce you can use it)

 

Directions for the dough:

1.) Pour the warm water in a large mixing bowl. Put the yeast over the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is dissolved.

 

2.) To make and knead the pizza dough, mix in the flour, salt, sugar, and olive oil on low speed for a minute. Knead the pizza dough on medium speed using the dough hook about 8 minutes.

( Or if you don't have a mixer, you can mix the ingredients together and knead them by hand.) After that, the dough should be a little sticky when touched. If it's too wet, put a little more flour.

 

3.) Now is the time to let the dough rise. Put a thin layer of olive oil all over the inside of a large bowl. Put the dough in the bowl and roll it around so that it will be covered with oil. After is a quick fermentation will allow the dough to rise sufficiently to work with. Put the dough in a warm place for about an hour and a half. Then cover the dough with plastic wrap. ( 75°F to 85°F) Remember the longer the rise the better the flavor the crust will have.

 

4.) Now, preheat the oven or pizza pan. Preheat the oven to 475°F for at least 30 minutes, preferably an hour.

 

5.)  Remove the plastic cover from the dough. Dust your hands with flour and push the dough down then divide the dough into 2 balls. Form two round balls of dough. Place each in its own bowl, cover with plastic and let sit for 15 minutes.

 

6.) Get one ball of dough and flatten it with your hands on a lightly floured work surface starting at the center and working outwards, use your fingertips to press the dough to 1/2-inch thick. Stretch the dough until it will not stretch further. Let the dough sit 5 minutes and then continue to stretch it until it reaches the desired diameter, usually for this recipe is10 to 12 inches.

 

7.) Press down using fingertips and make dents along the surface of the dough to prevent bubbling. Brush the top of the dough with olive oil. And set aside for 10 minutes.

 

8.) Sprinkle your baking sheet with cornmeal to make it easier to remove when done. And place your flattened dough.

 

9.) Now is the time for the toppings. Spread your tomato sauce or pizza sauce using a spoon. And sprinkle all the cheese you like and other desired toppings evenly.

 

10.) Then put it in the oven. Cook until the crust is browned and the cheese is golden about 10-15 minutes.  ENJOY!
